First 2 Fall Markets

Well, we've been back for the first two Fall Baker's Community Markets and we're gaining momentum. We are adding vendors and offering a pretty spectacular variety of sweets and treats. Here are a few photos to remind you, if you were there, or tempt you if you're planning on visiting us in November or December!

As well as offering fabulous treats we are also trying to raise food for our local food bank, SHARE Society. Please remember to bring 3 items of non-perishable food as a donation. In return, you will have the chance to win a basket of goodies donated by the bakers. This draw will take place after each market.

Items to consider donating include: canned fruit, canned or dried beans, canned fish, pasta, tomato sauce, canned vegetables, Ensure (or other high protein drinks) and rice.

Our next market is November 12 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Get there early before your favourites are sold out. And grab a coffee while you're there!

OK, first of all, it's pronounced joy-ah. Now we've got the name down let's get on to the good stuff. Maria and Rena are a new addition to the fall markets and we are super excited to have them join us. One of their specialties is Giambelone, a traditional Italian bundt cake. They also create other sweets including cakepops, decorated sugar cookies and cupcakes. Check out La Gioia Events on-line before you stop by to visit them in person!
